Felony (album)
Felony is the third full-length album by deathcore band Emmure under the Victory Records label. It was released on August 18th, 2009. The album debuted at #60 on the Billboard Top 200 selling roughly 8,000 copies in its first week. Felony is also the first album to feature new members Mike Mullohand (guitar) and Michael Kaabe (drums) in replacement of founding members Ben and Joe Lionetti.
The album is the first by Emmure to draw on more of a nu metal influence than their previous albums, evident of more frequent rapped vocals and use of Drop A tuning throughout. The band, however, returned to more of their previous sound with the release of Speaker of the Dead.

Notes
- The song title "I <3 EC2" is a reference to the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud online service
- The song "The Philosophy of Time Travel" is the title to a fictional book from the film, Donnie Darko. The guitar riffs also sound similar to the melody of the song of the same title on the Donnie Darko score. The lyrics of the song also reference the movie heavily.
- The lines "I keep them shook crews running, like they supposed to. You come around, but you never come close to. I can see it inside your face, you're in the wrong place," in the song "R2deepthroat" are a homage to the New York based rap group Mobb Deep's song "Shook Ones (Part II)". The line "You're so vain, I bet you think this song is about you, don't you?" in the same song is a reference to "Starfuckers, Inc." by Nine Inch Nails, which in turn the line in that song is a reference to Carly Simon.
- The song "I Thought You Met Telly and Turned Me into Casper" is a reference to the two main characters in the 1995 film Kids, directed by Larry Clark.
- The track title "Bars in Astoria" is a reference to an area of: Astoria, Queens.
